freeing thought

a freeing form of thought

a letting go

a releasing of my hands grip

on want,

it’s insatiable hunger.

prying it’s fingers,

simply giving them the space,

the grace,

to recognize.

we grip

because we fear

and must take what is ours.

opening the hand of thought

allows us to see life’s abundance,

in a constant movement,

inviting us to participate.

if only we would let go,

lift our eyes

and be embraced.
